Social and ethnographic study of the Avá Guaraní of Tekoha Sauce
Estudio social y etnográfico de los Avá guaraní de Tekoha Sauce
Résumé
There are a number of Indigenous communities in Paraguay that have had to move around geographically during the years, but have tried to maintain of their custom and way of life. There are several reasons: the construction of large areas of land to accommodate the growing population and the need for industries to support the expansion, such as dams and reservoirs etc. by the surrender of its original territory to other population groups or agricultural and industrial corporations. The present work focuses on making a social and ethnographic study in the district of Sauce. The hypotheses are: Have they suffered influences? To what extent do they maintain their customs and traditions? The method used to study are as follows a. ethnographic observation by conducting interviews b. bibliographic tracking c. biographies. It can be affirmed that have suffered influences.
Existen en Paraguay una serie de comunidades indígenas que, con el paso de los años, han ido trasladándose geográficamente, pero manteniendo en cierta medida sus costumbres. Estos desplazamientos se han ido produciendo por diferentes causas, entre ellas: la construcción de grandes obras públicas, como presas y embalses; la cesión de su territorio original a otros grupos poblacionales o corporaciones agrícolas – industriales. El presente trabajo se centra en hacer un estudio social y etnográfico en el distrito de Sauce. Las hipótesis planteadas son: ¿Han sufrido influencias?, ¿hasta qué punto mantienen sus costumbres y tradiciones? El método que se utiliza es la observación participante, etnográfico, realizando entrevistas, rastreo bibliográfico, biografías de las personas. Se puede afirmar que ha sufrido influencias.
